Your First Lesson
Your first lesson is always the most nerve-racking and exciting all at the same time. I bet you can’t wait to get going, but before we begin we must understand some safety aspects of the car and know where all your important controls are, the purpose of each control, and how to operate them.
Safety Check
Ok let’s start of with the safety check, also known as the cockpit drill. When you enter the vehicle you must first set the vehicle so you have a good view of the road ahead and into the mirrors, also make sure you can reach all the controls comfortably so you can operate them with ease. To do the safety check we will carry out a routine called the DSSSM which stands for,
- Doors
- Seat
- Seatbelt
- Steering wheel
- Mirrors
